A Most Eggcellent Easter Weekend

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! Ours was kind of amazing (but chilly!). We popped over to our neighbor-friends’ farm for an epic egg hunt on Saturday. Our kiddos had soooo much fun!! It was hilarious to see how serious and worried they all looked, racing to find eggs with 30 other frantic, ecstatic children. Here are some snaps from the hunt, and then I have even more photos from Easter Sunday! It’s a packed photo post this morning.:)

Love those bored, so-much-better-than-us Scottish Highland Easter Cows (with the reallllly good hair)…. Is “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s cows” a commandment?;)

So. Epic Egg Hunt, and then on to celebrate the Real Reason for Easter…. I thought I’d quote some words from my favorite worship song (which we sang this past Sunday) – it always brings me to tears. Always.

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing
My Savior, Jesus, is mine

Glorious day, Oh, Glorious day!

-Casting Crowns

Oh, glorious day, indeed!! Takes my breath away, just to think of it.

Here are some quick snaps we took right after church with my happy little crew.

PS. I buttoned my oldest son’s cardigan.
