I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We just got back last night from a perfect little holiday getaway to the coast, and I’m tellin’ ya, it was so relaxing!! It feels like a home away from home to us, now. It’s such a short drive, and the place where we stay is so family-friendly! Right on the beach (with the most amazing views!!), fireplace, kitchenette, loft for the kiddos, dvd player, NETFLIX… I mean, it’s just perfect. We ordered a turkey dinner via room service from our favorite restaurant next door, and the best part ever? We just scooped our dishes onto the tray, and set it outside our door. No prep, no clean up, just good food, a stunning view, fire and Christmas music goin’…. and then topping off the night by curling up and watching On Moonlight Bay with Doris Day (one of our favorites). I even got to binge on Gilmore Girls, while my husband took our kids to the indoor pool each day (and then text obsessively about it with my sisters). It. Was. Perrrrrfect.

And speaking of perfect….;) Double breasted blazers are living in the perfection style department, right now. Military/Band details are going strong, and if you prefer going the more subtle route of this trend, a double breasted blazer is a great, easy, classic way to go. That said, this piece can quickly take you aboard a cruise-liner with the other 72-year-olds, if you don’t style it properly. I prefer the “unbuttoned” button-up look, and like to layer a hoodie with it, and add combat boots, or sneakers to take it to an even more casual level. So fun. My blazer is old, but I shopped a bunch for ya, below!
