Bad Hair Day

I’m really straddling the line with my lob (long-bob) lately. I think I’m growing it out but this is still up for debate, just trying to go where the spirit leads me with my hair right now. Mostly I love my short-ish hair, but this particular day I had two things going against me:

  1. Too little too late. Do you ever have a day where you don’t wash your hair, but SHOULD have? No amount of dry shampoo was saving me.
  2. My hair in general. Lob lovers know, you’ve gotta cut or grow! My hair is currently growing, just brushing my shoulders and flipping out like a bob a la the famed “RACHEL” cut.  Shout out to the Friends 20th Anniversary! Maybe I should just ride this 1995-style hair cut out until we are fully back in 90’s style fashion. It’s coming back you guys.

Sometimes you have a bad hair day and you just have to rely on your clothes to get you through.  Lately, my confidence lies in my new black booties. Put your confidence in your feet and walk tall all day long.  I also recommend a gorgeous blue sky and a rooftop or tall building or, in my case, a chair on top of a rooftop to lift your spirits and help you forget the fact that the hairs are on your head are being unruly.

Don’t look at me today, I beg you.

Wearing:

Jacket – Ralph Lauren (sold out, similar). Blouse – Tibi (snagged at sample sale, but keep color blocking with this). Jeans – David Kahn (old, try these paint splatter cuties). Booties – Stuart Weitzman. Dry Shampoo – Sauve!

With lots of love and freshly cleaned hair,

Haley

PS – Layer season is officially here up north, why not celebrate with a fresh leather jacket or chambray blazer? I promise you’ll throw it on over everything! Tee shirt and jeans or helping that sundress get worn one more time until you need some more warmth. Layers outwit, outlast, and outplay our seasonal pieces – so pick up a few key pieces, soon.
