Pink Pairings with Donna Morgan

Well, we woke up to a sweet surprise, this morning! The clouds disappeared overnight, and revealed fresh snowcaps on our beautiful mountains…. The skies are crystal clear, and with the glorious rain we’ve had the last few days, nature is constantly dazzling the eye with its pure brilliance, this morning. Stunning.

Speaking of dazzling the eye…. What do we think about the trending hue, bright fuchsia, for fall?? I have to admit, the color scares me a bit, which is why I had to try it, of course (such a dare devil, I am;). It’s often styled with black, which I actually kind of hate, if I’m being super honest? Too severe for me. I prefer softer pairings in the same tones, so I opted for a plumy-merlot to anchor this look. I also think soft, blushy pinks with warm caramels would work nicely with it, or deep hunter greens for some drama (navy, too – it’s a little softer than jet-black). Not so scary, anymore, huh?

I’m excited to be partnering again with Donna Morgan, the queen bee of the Dress Kingdom, for this post! I’m always a sucker for anything retro, and immediately felt drawn to the clean lines, and mod 60’s feel to this adorable shift dress. I added a head scarf for fun, some deep-plum, sateen boots to give her some dramatic roots, and a whimsical, textured wallet-clutch, handcrafted by Mari Lassa, to tie it all together.

Whaddya think?

I think this dress was made for lifting the spirits, and having fun. And we could all use a li’l dash o’ that. 😉

Hope you have a wonderful, FUN-filled weekend, Loves!
