It was so great to visit San Francisco last week! I had just recently taught my older two kiddos about the 1906 “Great San Francisco Earthquake” in our history class, so when we announced our arrival, as we started driving through this wonderful city, my 6-year-old son gasped, “Wow!” He looked quickly all around, and then frowned, asking, “Where are all the cracks?” 😉 I love being able to travel to places that we read about, and see my children make real, concrete connections to history in their curious, imaginative minds. Travel is a wonderful thing – any kind of explorative travel – and I am so grateful I have a family that loves it as much as I do!
Speaking of gasping…. I did a lot of that when we drove by this flower-covered house! Haddd to shoot this look here. Neon magenta is hands-down my favorite color. Ever.

Schoolboy blazer + boy shorts + girly scarf = my perfect kind of style recipe. My $8 scarf is very old, but I shopped some gorrrrgeous, and flat-out adorable ones below – all under $50.
